I used to say that if it plugs into the wall and has buttons or knobs, I'm your guy. This pretty well sums up my career. I began running sound at age 14 and haven't stopped yet. I've engineered in recording studios, owned a video production company, photography business, managed creative teams, and helped many people bring their visions to life.

I've been the technical director for several large churches through the years and those experiences have given me the opportunity to design staging, work as a lighting designer, and coordinate large stage productions and teams.

I've worked as a recording engineer in different studios over the years, ranging from recording to tape and having to master the art of "the punch-in" to working extensively with DAW systems and digital audio systems.

I worked as a broadcast engineer for a systems integrator, traveling the country consulting, designing, and training on audio and broadcast video systems. My experience as the end user of such systems allowed me to bring a unique perspective to designing these systems by truly understanding the operation and intricacies of using such complex systems in what are often times high-stress situations.

I have extensive knowledge of both photography and video cameras in many different contexts. Whether in the field, shooting interviews or operating and directing live cameras for television broadcasts, I've done it.

Leadership is a learned skill that is often honed through experiences, both bad and good. I've always worked to learn from the bad moments to ensure that I don't repeat the mistakes of myself or others while trying to mirror the successes I've witnessed along the way. 

I've found that people are the key to any project and finding the right people for the job, equipping them with the tools and skills to succeed, and then empowering them to do their best is how you find success.

Collaboration in the planning process and communication throughout a project are fundamental to making sure everyone is working towards the same goal.

Clear and concise communication is key to my operational style. I work closely with my client to establish the purpose and vision of their event or job and outline how we'll achieve those goals. Through collaborative planning, careful consideration of potential failure points, and deliberate teamwork, I've found great success in bringing these projects to successful completion.
